WHO?

VPBC is a church of significant variety which seeks to welcome people from a whole range of backgrounds and unite them in shared belief and action.
People of all ages and several cultures and races join with us and this is one of our strengths.
We are a neighbourhood church but our networks reach beyond the local community.
We aim for our mission to have local effect and global concern.

VPBC has met on this site for 140 years and is seeking to be relevant at the beginning of this third millennium after the coming of Christ.

The Pastor
Jane Thorington-Hassell, has been with the church since 1985.
She has a background in teaching, and did her theological and ministerial training at Trinity College, Bristol and also London University.

Jane enjoys relaxing by meeting and eating with friends, reading novels & science fiction, walking and talking.

Jane has started a Blog called Following Jesus in East London which aims to stimulate discussion about what this means in the here and now.
